Our publishing operation is based on the innovative print-on-demand (POD) model. This means we generally do not publish an item until it has been ordered by our customer. This allows us to offer an extremely large product line without the financial investment and risk associated with printing inventory in advance using traditional lithographic printing methods. This operational benefit also allows us to offer service printing options to our clients that are tailored to their needs. From small projects for individual clients, to comprehensive product line publishing for museums and other fine art publishers, our scalable system can meet any demand. Furthermore, our daily printing capacity allows us to process and ship the majority of all items within 24 hours of order placement (large volume orders may require more time).
The moment an order is entered into our system, our proprietary image queueing print management system takes the process over. This technology manages image storage, as well as organizing large and complicated print runs. The system is integral in making our large scale POD operation functional. With an image archive of more than 100,000 print-ready images, organization and automated workflow become essential. From specifying media types, to aiding in the organization of items in preparation for shipment, our POD queueing system is an important element that allows us to meet ours as well as our client's needs in regards to production and distribution.
All items we publish are printed on large format giclee printers. With exceptional resolution and archival inksets, we take tremendous pride in the quality of every item leaving our facility. We currently use both Epson and Canon printers, allowing us to match a specific product or client's need with a fitting output device.
The quality of a publishing operation is only as good as its focus on color management. At every step, we take care to ensure precise color matching.Through the creation of custom ICC profiles for specific media types and projects, we make every effort to ensure the published item will match ours and our client's expectations.
GICLEE-ON-CANVAS: Our premier product is our premium giclee-on-canvas. This item is a high resolution digital reproduction printed on artist grade canvas using archival inks. After printing, our canvas products are all coated with a liquid seal that protects the canvas surface and image from fading, moisture, scratches, etc. This UV protective coating is essential to the production of a ready-to-hang canvas product.PAPER PRINTS: Our core published product is our paper print. We use a variety of substrates, all dictated by the customer or the specific needs of the project. From Somerset (our core 100% cotton rag paper) to a cellulose based draft paper, we are able to provide numerous options that will fit the costing and quality needs of any product line. |
